laCividina - Design Plaza

Unadulterated aesthetics, high-quality materials, perfect workmanship and exceptional organization: LaCividina fuses comfort and appealing designs, while keeping Italian manual culture alive.

The inspiration for Ala’s design came from the stands for old plates on display in a decorative arts museum. It is plain to see in this collection of armchairs and sofas with a vintage flavour.
The backrests and armrests gracefully and airily fit into the wooden or metal bases.

An essential coffee table whose personality changes with the materials chosen. Vintage flavours and timeless elegance prevail when the veins of marble are on display, while the wooden versions are steeped in dynamic modernity.

The Aria retro-futuristic lounge chair offers the perfect blend of lightness and loftiness, technological prowess and sublime craftsmanship.
While the steel frame may call to mind a typical padded armchair, laser shaping is used to create highly distinctive rhombic gaps.
The frame is then covered with saddle leather in a 100% manual process.

Building blocks in the form of furniture. The pouf can serve as a stand-alone piece or be combined with others in an array of sophisticated colours and irregular shapes.
Simple lines join up to form corners and slopes, so that everyone can sit in their own way.

Both the name and the shape of this soft, smart seat evoke the idea of restfulness. Nap takes the idea of a pillow and recreates it in an extra-large, sartorial form, with seams that are designed to give it even more of a packed appearance, such as piping around the edges of the cushions and horizontal darts. Extra comfort is added by the lumbar support cushion, which is attached to the backrest by a concealed zip. It gives the sofa a tidy appearance that is ideal for both the contract market and household settings. Rounding off the structure are ash feet, which are available both painted and in the natural colour of the wood. They feature a minimalist design and almost entirely disappear from view under the sumptuous seat.

Phar Lap is the lounge chair designed to bring comfort and protection to collective spaces, thanks to a slender structure inspired by the design of the seventies. The shaped backrest extends upwards to allow a distinct posture and, at the same time, shield the seat from the surrounding environment. The distinctive element of the seat is the elegant visible structure, which in this project is taken to the extreme with a result of solidity and refined geometry.

Thanks to an abundant and generous structure, the Swale armchair evokes relaxed conversation scenarios for residential and contract environments. The comfort of the seating is given by its large and enveloping shapes, expertly reproduced in the seat and back elements. In its version with headrest, Swale represents a refined reading sitting; the low back, on the other hand, allows effective use in contract environments, where Swale brings the best features of a domestic upholstery.
